    Frequently asked questions

    Answer

This depends on your personal preference and situation.

Brisbane South (Nathan) is well connected to major transport routes with buses arriving frequently.

Taxis and other ride hailing services like Uber can be accessed.

For more information on public transport options, visit the Translink website.

    Answer

We have Liftango which is an app providing sustainable, closed-loop corporate and campus carpooling solutions. It connects staff or students within the same organization to share commutes, enabling free parking, reduced emissions, and potential rewards.

We also have RIIDE at Gold Coast which is an app-based, "drive-and-drop" (free-floating) car-sharing service.

You find more information on Griffith's supported carpooling services on the Shared transport webpage.

    Answer

No there is no Student or Staff parking at the Conservatorium

However, there are several excellent public transport options available.

    You can:

    • Catch a bus to the South Bank Busway Station
    • Travel by train
      • South Bank Railway Station is directly behind the Queensland College of Art (QCA) on Grey Street
    • Walk to Brisbane City (South Bank) from the nearby Brisbane CBD.
      1. cross the river via the Goodwill Bridge (footbridge) or the Victoria Bridge (go past the Performing Arts Centre and follow the Grand Arbour south through to the end of South Bank Parklands).

Please use the Translink Journey Planner to plan your trip

There is also the South Bank car park, Secure Park and Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre car park in walking distance of the Conservatorium. These are private car parks that all offer different rates depending on what time of day you enter and how long you stay. Griffith University has no affiliation with these car park operators.

You can find more information on getting to the Conservatorium, or any of our other campuses, on the Transport webpage.

Liftango Carpooling at Brisbane South (Nathan), Gold Coast and Logan

Staff and students can use the Liftango carpooling app to reduce the cost and emissions associated with commuting.

You can choose to drive yourself or ride along with others, and—if your vehicle has two or more people in it—you can enjoy guaranteed free parking in the exclusive Liftango area at both Campuses. The car parking is conveniently located in Carpark A and N38 Multistorey Carpark for overflow when visiting the Nathan Campus and Information Lane Carpark when at Logan campus.

When completing your carpool to campus please take note and confirm the carpark location as the app may allocate you to the overflow carpark located in the N38 Multistorey Carpark. As well as free parking, frequent users will also be rewarded with great incentives like vouchers for coffee, fuel and the Uni Bar.

To access the service, download the Liftango app (available on iOS and Android), register your account using your Griffith email address and follow the setup process. You’ll then be matched exclusively with other Griffith users.
