    • marriage certificate
    • decree nisi

How do I change my preferred name in MyGriffith?

    Instructions

You can apply for a Tax File Number (TFN) through the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or Australia Post.

You should receive your TFN within 28 days after submitting your application and required documents. You should contact the ATO if you have not received your TFN after 28 days.

Once you receive your TFN, you will need to supply it to the University by census date using the Services@Griffith Student Support Enquiry form. This will enable your fees to be deferred to your HELP loan.

TFN applications made less than a month before the census date

If you apply for a TFN (in order to access a HELP loan) less than a month before the census date, it is recommended that you obtain a 'Certificate of Application for a TFN' from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), or an Australia Post TFN application summary (with the matching barcoded receipt).

You need to submit this documentation as proof of your TFN application by the census date using the Services@Griffith Student Support Enquiry form.

    Answer

If you wish to access a HELP loan, it is essential you provide your Tax File Number (TFN) by the census date to ensure you can defer all or part of your fees and charges. If you do not provide your TFN, you will be required to pay your fees in full by the census date.

We recommend you provide your TFN even if you intend to pay your fees and charges upfront. This will ensure the remaining debt will be transferred to a HELP loan and prevent your enrolment being cancelled if you cannot make full payment by the census date.

If you have not yet received your TFN, you can obtain a Certificate of Application for a TFN from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), or an Australia Post TFN application summary with the matching barcoded receipt and submit it by the census date using the Services@Griffith Student Support Enquiry form.

All names put on Griffith digital badges are taken from information within the University’s student system. In the event of an error, please email credentials@griffith.edu.au.

    Answer

No, digital badges are not posted to your home.

A digital badge is a secure, online, digitally verifiable version of your achievement. Once you accept your badge, you can go to the ‘Share badges’ section of your account to download it or print a copy for your records.
