Rudolph Pekarek Oboe Prize
The Rudolf Pekarek Oboe Prize is awarded annually to a student completing Performance Study (Wind) (Oboe) for the most outstanding performance. Eligible students are assessed at end-of-year recitals.
There is no closing date for this prize.
To be eligible for this prize, you must be a Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University student completing Performance Study (Wind) (Oboe).
Entrants are to perform two contrasting pieces not longer than 10 minutes in duration in total.
To be assessed at end of year recitals.
Judges are to be appointed by the Director or their nominee (Head of Area).
No judge may be the teacher of a student who is competing.
A cash prize of $300 is awarded for the best oboe performance.
The prize donor is Rudolf Pekarek.
