    Plan your enrolment

    Enrol in classes, manage your timetable and view your fees via myGriffith.

    Learn everything you need to know about choosing your courses, planning your classes, when you can enrol and options available to finance your studies. You can also explore options if you wish to take a break from your studies and return at a later date.

    Enrolling at Griffith

    Enrolling is as easy as:

    1. Plan your courses.

    2. Select your classes.

    3. Submit your enrolment.

    You can enrol for the first time and continue to manage your enrolment throughout the academic year via myGriffith. Look for the red 'Manage enrolment' button on the 'My program' page to get started.

    Preparing to enrol

    Whether you're enrolling for the first time or are in your final trimester of study, planning ahead is the key to success.

    You can do many things to prepare for each trimester before enrolment opens. From key dates, you can view next trimester's timetable, plan your preferred class times and arrange your study finance options.

    You can also learn the Griffith lingo. For example, we call degrees programs, and subjects courses.

    Paying your fees

    There are many options available to finance your studies at Griffith.

    Familiarise yourself with the fees and charges associated with your program, the types of loans available and how you can pay your fees and charges when they are due.

    It is also important that you notify us of changes to your personal circumstances that may impact your finance options, such as a change of your residency status.

    Taking a break from your studies

    Griffith offers several options for if you require a break from your studies.

    New students who have been made an offer to study at Griffith can elect to defer their start date. Current students can apply for a leave of absence and take one or more trimesters off.

    Griffith is here to support you so you get back on course and continue with your studies now or in the future.

    Explanation

    The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a reference number made up of a combination of ten numbers and letters. Your USI is used to connect your student loan information to your personal details. You are required to provide a USI via the Pre-Enrolment Questionnaire to study at Griffith.

    Your legal first name, last name and date of birth need to match exactly between Griffith University and the USI Registry. If they do not match, then your USI cannot be verified. You need a verified USI to:

    • be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)
    • be eligible for Commonwealth financial assistance (HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, OS-HELP and SA-HELP)
    • graduate and receive your award.

    International students

    You will only be able to create a USI after arriving in Australia. Further information is available on the Australian Government's USI website.

    Introduction

    Once you have planned your courses, you can plan your class times. Adding a class to your planned timetable won't guarantee you a place, but it will save you time when enrolment opens and increase your chances of enrolling in your preferred class time.

    Instructions

    1. Go to the relevant course in myGriffith.
    2. Click the Select classes button against the course
    3. Select your preferred classes and hit Save.

    When you have selected all the required classes for a course, the course status will change from 'Action Required' to 'Planned'.

    Instructions

    There are set times when you can submit your enrolment each trimester. Your personalised enrolment time will display on your myGriffith homepage.

    1. Log in to myGriffith.
    2. Click My program.
    3. Click Manage enrolment.
    4. Select the Submit enrolment tab.
    5. Click the Enrol button.

    When you are successfully enrolled in a course, the course status will be 'Enrolled'.

    Please note that a subject is called a course and a degree is called a program at Griffith.
