Ergonomics
Stay safe and prevent injury with ergonomics.
Ergonomics is the design of workplaces, products and systems to fit the people who use them. Office ergonomics focuses on physical, mechanical and environmental factors that may lead to injury when they are not properly adjusted in the workplace. Manual tasks can cause damage to any part of the body. Consider what you are moving, how far it needs to move and if there is another person or a device which can help.
Setting up your workstation
Adjust your workstation to meet your needs and prevent injury. If you feel that you need different office furniture or equipment to better meet your needs, discuss this with your manager and consider booking a workstation assessment with your health and safety adviser.
New furniture can be found in the furniture catalogue. All purchases can be made through Griffith Marketplace.
If you need a sit-stand desk, refer to the sit to stand workstation guidelines.
