Open Universities Australia (OUA) students
Graduation eligibility checks commence the week after Census Date of your final term. You are responsible forÂ
- meeting the eligibility requirements for graduation.
- checking your graduation status via myGriffith > myGraduation by the stated deadline (see below).
An email from your Course Convenor (or any other Griffith University staff member) saying you have met your degree requirements does not replace the need to check your myGraduation status. You cannot graduate unless your status is listed as 'Approved'.
A deferred or supplementary exam at Griffith will stop you from graduating if the result is not released by the stated 'Last day to be approved' deadline (see below).
There are four graduation statuses:
- Potential: Your record is yet to be checked, so please don't make any arrangements for graduation.
- Conditionally Approved: You are likely to graduate, but only if you complete the remaining conditions for your program (usually the courses you are currently enrolled in).
- Approved: You have met the requirements of your program and are ready to graduate - congratulations!
- Not eligible: You will not meet your program requirements in time for the current graduation round. You will automatically be considered for the next available graduation round.
