    Support to help you thrive at Griffith.

    We have a number of helpful tools and services to ensure you get the most out of your time with us. It’s also useful to know you can access many of our support services remotely, either online or via phone.

    We understand that the current economic conditions may mean some of our students are experiencing financial hardship. If you’re experiencing cost-of-living pressures, we encourage you to connect with Griffith services for support in areas such as finance, food, transport and learning support.

    Learning support

    • Study skills - Gain the skills to manage your study time, research, write assignments, reference, and develop digital skills.
    • Assessment - Assessment resources, skills and support, including how to get help when things don't go according to plan.
    • IT support - Get tech support for online issues, email, connecting your device to Griffith WiFi, Learning@Griffith and Lecture Capture, plus information on student printing.
    • Using generative AI - Explore how to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot ethically and responsibly to support your learning.
    • English language support - Explore services, social groups and courses to help develop your English speaking and writing skills.
    • Work-integrated learning - Through work placements, internships and projects, you can expand your network and your horizons, as well as gain credit towards your degree.
    • Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) - These free fun group learning sessions, facilitated by accredited students, help you to achieve better marks by developing smarter study methods.
    • Student mentoring - Mentoring at Griffith connects student mentors and mentees via a wide range of programs that facilitate mutual learning, reflection and growth.

    Health and wellbeing support

    • Health, counselling, wellbeing and accessibility - Our team provides health, medical, counselling, wellbeing, pastoral care and accessibility services for the Griffith community.
    • Crisis support - We can connect you with a range of support services if you're experiencing distress.
    • Violence, assault or harassment support - If you have experienced harassment, assault, domestic violence or other disrespectful behaviours, sexual or personal, we are here to support you through Griffith's Safe Campuses.

    Personal support

    • Financial support - Explore our financial support services, including scholarships, bursaries and budgeting workshops.
    • Disability and accessibility support - We can customise reasonable adjustments to meet your particular study needs.
    • Career support - It's never too early to start planning for your career. Our Careers and Employment Service can help.
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander support - GUMURRII supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from recruitment to graduation, offering culturally safe academic and personal support across all campuses and online.
    • LGBTIQ+ support - Our LGBTIQ+ counsellors offer a safe and confidential space where people of all sexualities, genders and identities can talk openly and receive dedicated support.
    • Refugee success - Access meaningful support, a strong sense of community and opportunities for success.

    The Guild are here to make your time on campus as active and enjoyable as possible through a range of activities. The Student Guild Board includes 10 student members who are elective representatives responsible for advocating for the interests, needs and wants of the student body.

    Postgraduate associations

    The Gold Coast Association of Postgraduates (GCAP) and the Griffith University Postgraduate Student Association (GUPSA) provide a range of advocacy and support for postgraduate students.

    Gold Coast postgraduate students can reach out to GCAP. Postgraduate students studying at our other campuses—including our Digital, Logan and Brisbane campuses—can contact GUPSA.

    You can check our parking maps in our Parking webpage to locate the disabled permit parking areas in our campuses.

    For undergraduate programs not available via the Veterans Direct application pathway, you will be required to apply via QTAC.

    If you are eligible to apply for postgraduate study, you can apply for most programs directly using the link on our Degree Finder. The exceptions are the Doctor of Medicine via GEMSAS or the Master of Secondary Teaching and the Master of Primary Teaching offered via QTAC.

    Yes, Griffith recognises and values your experience through the Australian Defence Force and supports those looking to reskill through university study.

    We award selection ranks for armed services training and experience and offer a wide range of undergraduate degrees which you can apply for via the Veterans Direct application pathway.

    The Veterans Direct application pathway allows current and former members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to apply directly to Griffith University for admission to most undergraduate degrees based on their military service.
