GMED aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment that brings together first and second-year medical science students through social events, mentorship opportunities and collaborative projects, promoting a sense of belonging. Griffith University’s Built and Sustainable Environments (BASE) is a forum for all students enrolled in programs relevant to the built and natural environments to meet one another, share ideas and opportunities, and get in touch with the industry professionals responsible for shaping our future cities. This society overcomes the interdisciplinary divide otherwise felt between engineers, planners, environmental scientists, and other disciplines with a vested interest in our physical landscapes. Griffith ENACTUS formed after the discovery that a large proportion of Griffith University students wanted to volunteer, but did not know how. We are working to fix this issue by providing students with a platform for volunteering on local, national, and international levels.

BUG is primarily a special interest-based club but also has a focus on Academic study is Community Focused. We educate people about bugs, and how important they are to the ecosystem. We conduct studies in the Toohey Forest about the local bug populations and Fire Ant awareness. We help teach our members how to identify bugs that people may want to know, get get out members out into the forrest and connect them with nature.

Our goal is to get rid of capitalism, while organising to fight against oppression in the here-and-now.  If you believe in that, or you want to learn more, you should get involved.
