Griffith is committed to the spiritual wellbeing of every student, regardless of their spiritual or religious background. Griffith supports students from diverse faith, religious, and spiritual traditions through the work of our Chaplaincy program and our Multi-Faith Centre at the South Brisbane (Nathan) campus.
Our Chaplaincy program is committed to creating a thriving community for students from diverse beliefs and backgrounds, fostering uplifting spaces for connection where students are welcomed, cared for, and feel that they matter.
The Multi-Faith Centre
The Multi-Faith Centre at Brisbane South (Nathan) is a community space for Griffith students and people from diverse faith, religious and spiritual traditions to gather, share ideas and develop a deeper sense of belonging.
Notable events include the G20 Interfaith Forum, Harmony Week citizenship ceremonies and Annual General Meetings of the Queensland Faiths Community Council.
The Centre's prayer room is available for student and staff use. Other spaces—including the reading room, seminar room and open spaces—may be booked for student-run activities and faith-based events.
Venue bookings
The Multi-Faith Centre may be booked for student-run activities and faith-based events. Other events will be considered based on availability and on a case-by-case basis. The Centre comprises a reading room, seminar room and open spaces, and can accommodate groups of up to 350 people.
