Awarded to students enrolled with Griffith University as non-award, undergraduate or postgraduate students, including those enrolled through Open Universities Australia, who maintain a high level of academic achievement based on the successful completion of at least 40CP within the academic year.

Eligibility

A student must have undertaken study in at least two teaching periods in the academic year.

The student's academic record over the academic year will include no Fail grades (3, 2, 1, Fail No Assessment Submitted, Withdraw with Failure), no unfinalised grades and include only graded course results (7, 6, 5, 4,) for at least 40CP of courses.

Selection criteria

To receive the award, a student must achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 6.0, calculated over the academic year, excluding non-graded passes and any credit applied.

As the award is based on the academic year, a student may receive the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence a number of times during their program of study at the University.

The Griffith Award for Academic Excellence is awarded at the end of the academic year (end of Trimester 3). All students' records are checked in early March and those eligible will receive the annotation on their transcript, except graduating students, who will receive their award prior to graduation.

The sponsor is Griffith University. The value of the prize is an annotation on student's official academic transcript.

Awarded to a Griffith University Queensland College of Art and Design student enrolled in 3365QCA_P1 Major Studio Project (Part1) for visual arts students or 3646QCA_P1 Major Studio Project 1 for design students, who has the highest GPA at the end of the second year.

The purpose of the Emily Reinhardt Piano Scholarship is to assist entry level undergraduate students studying keyboard (classical) at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU). The scholarship is to be awarded annually to a recipient as they enter their study at a first year level and will continue for the duration of their undergraduate study (three to four years).

The Nora Baird Memorial Fund Bursary is awarded to students commencing in 2026, auditioning at the Queensland Conservatorium for entry into a Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) program in an area of instrumental need.
