What can we help you find?

    Parking permits

A parking permit is a great option for Griffith staff and students who regularly travel to campus.

A permit allows you to park on campus within the zone the permit is valid for. Your number plate is linked to your permit, so nothing needs to be displayed on your vehicle and no additional daily payment is required when parking. A limited number of Annual and Trimester permits are available for each period, and it is recommended you take note of upcoming sale dates to avoid disappointment.

Casual parking is also available for those in need of a more flexible option. Please note that there is no parking available at Brisbane City (South Bank).

    Answer

Parking permits are available for all our campuses, except at Brisbane City (South Bank).

There are many different permit types including general, undercover, and special permits.

A permit allows you to park on campuses within the zones the permit is valid for.

We provide a limited number of Annual and Trimester permits each period and are available on a first come, first served basis until the allocation is exhausted. If no more allocation remains look for an alternative permit that is available or refer to the casual parking on campus.

You can find more information about parking permits on the Parking permits webpage.

    Special permits

Special permits are issued on a temporary basis for those who do not hold a disability permit and require a car park closer to campus buildings.

This permit is valid in Special permit zones and can be applied for under the circumstances detailed below.

    Temporary mobility

You can apply for a temporary mobility permit if you have an injury or illness that prevents you from walking from a Griffith car park to your work or study area. You are required to provide a doctor’s certificate indicating your circumstances and the expected duration with your application. A temporary mobility permit can be used for up to six months.

    Pregnancy

A temporary mobility permit can also be provided to those who are pregnant. You are required to provide a doctor’s certificate indicating the due date of birth along with your application. This can be used for up to three months before/after the due date.

Please note that the temporary special permit application form is only available for permit holders. If you do not hold a valid permit, please contact the Parking team directly for further information.

If you require additional injury management support or accommodations, please contact the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team via workrehab@griffith.edu.au

    Residential permit

Residents of Griffith accommodation at Nathan can purchase a Residential Permit through the online portal. This permit allows parking on the roof of the N38 Multistorey Carpark and in General Permit areas on the Brisbane South, Logan, and Gold Coast campuses.

    • The boomgate to N38 should open when scanning your number plate. You can also request access on your swipe card or mobile phone by contacting the parking team.
    • This permit only allows parking in the open air roof section of the N38 multistorey. If you prefer undercover parking please purchase the N38 Multistorey permit instead.
    • Purchasing a permit does not guarantee a parking space at all times.
    • If your primary campus is not Nathan but you live on campus, you are still eligible for this permit.
    • Residential permits are not subject to availability and can be applied for at any time during the trimester by eligible Nathan residents.

Griffith Parking does not provide Residential permits for Gold Coast Griffith Uni Village residents. We recommend purchasing the G55 Multistorey Permit as that is best positioned to the Griffith Uni Village accommodation.

Please visit Services@Griffith to find out more information.
