Teaching outside Learning@Griffith
Teaching tools other than Learning@Griffith—such as PebblePad, Yammer and Nearpod— must be approved through the Digital Solutions Contract Register to comply with the Cloud Hosting Policy.
For assistance with this approval, contact it-architecture@griffith.edu.au. Note: Griffith may sometimes permit teaching tools and platforms that are outside Learning@Griffith to host copyright teaching materials that are normally only permitted on Learning@Griffith and/or the Reading List service. Such platforms require additional compliance measures including copyright compliance provided by the Copyright and Information Policy Officer.
When using teaching tools outside of Learning@Griffith, academic staff may only include:
- their own comments and written materials
- up to a paragraph of text taken from elsewhere
- links or embedded links to YouTube videos and other web materials
- Creative Commons images, videos and other web resources
- materials from websites (for example, a Government website) whose “Terms and Conditions” permit non-profit educational use
- materials with permission from the copyright owner.
