Diversity and inclusion learning opportunities
Griffith offers several group-specific development programs and resources to build capability in diversity and inclusivity in the workforce.
Diversity and inclusion programs
Griffith offers Indigenous Cultural Humility training in multiple modes: an online self-paced AIATSIS Core Cultural Learning Program, and Griffith-specific face-to-face workshops. The face-to-face options consist of Embedding Indigenous Content Workshops for Academic Staff which focus on embedding Indigenous content into programs and courses, and Cultural Humility. Workshops for all staff which provide an understanding of the historic and contemporary environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Completing all four Cultural Humility workshops to earn your Cultural Humility through First Peoples Advocacy badge.
Equal Opportunity Online is an equal opportunity professional development program for Australian Universities.
Griffith has engaged Australian Disability Network to deliver disability confidence training to equip our people with an understanding of disability and its relevance to all areas of business.
The online disability training aims to build confidence in interactions with people with disability, provide tips for better communication, and provide guidance on where to learn more about particular disability topics. This course can be combined with Griffith's face-to-face Disability Awareness Training and resources on our Disability Awareness Training website.
